OK this has been bothering me.........
Seller says ribbon was given out when he attended the awards ceremony. Name tag indicates it was given at the door as thats how name tags usually work.
BUT the ribbon names cannon as the winner BUT seller says it was given out to attendees. Doesn't make sense to me especially when you factor in the name tag attachment. If given before the ceremony how would the winners name be on it?
Seems like it would have to come from an event after the announcement. EVEN if the DAC had pre made ribbons for the top 3 candidates and then given out the ribbon after the announcement , passed em out to those in attendance, in the audience that still does not answer the name tag attachment.
No doubt the item in vintage, real etc, I just can't put the pieces together n the story the seller tells as to it's origin, "given to attendees at the ceremony"......
When asked this question seller says it was long ago and I am old and can't remember everything. Well I can remember once in a lifetime events that happened when I was 4 so I don;t know if thats an answer I can accept....
Seems like ti would be given the next day or something...... The rarity of the item is not diminished but the story of where it came from does change......

Makes sense!!!
Maybe the winner of the Heisman was known before hand, unlike today. Or, the name plate was given out at the door and the ribbon was given out at the end of the ceremony.
