I got 18 Dietzel autos on vintage items. But I did get a one of a kind piece done by Skip. Well worth the price, even though he forgot a line in there.

Nice custom piece and inscription. Why did he write "I Stanley"skip" bertman"...? Like he would with his last will and testament... What line is missing?.."Being of sound mind and body"?

I think that is a "J," which is Skip's first initial.
That is no doubt a fantastic piece, but I would have felt like I was imposing terribly to ask him to write that novella for me. Did he balk at all?

It is a "J"
He actually enjoyed it. He said he had never written this much for anyone before. He didnt realize there were this many stats. He would say some cool fact or something funny about almost every other line. So all in all I dont think he cared that much, especially since I didnt just pay for the auto, I paid for every single one of those inscriptions. They were not free or cheap, well cheap for the amount but not cheap for me.

LOL well the "J" makes sense. NOW the question is what does the J stand for??? It must be a funkier name than Stanley, which as it's written is his middle name. Must be one of those dreaded family names.
