Your homeowners should cover anything up to $2500 per item

I know I have asked you this before but how ould they handle putting a value on certain items that you may have gotten at a lower price than current market value? Also would they have to know the estimated value of the item beforehand and have any pictures on file?

It is based on replacement value, not what you paid for it. You should make a catagorized list of everything you have and what you paid for it and/or replacement value.
If you have something one of a kind, take good pictures of it and possible value. Talk to your insurance agent about the items before something goes wrong. I would get them a copy of your items.
Like I said, check with your agent and see what they cover for an individual item. I have Statefarm and they cover up to $2500 an item. The only thing I currently own over that amount is my wife's ring, so we have a seperate policy for it. Its pretty cheap, about $25 a year.

I just thought about what I just posted. I forgot about my photograph of the first game. I paid $2000 for it with frame but I don't know what I should value it at for insurance.
