I don't think he got taken on anything. He knew/knows exzactly what he's doing. He bought these (I did t see the JJ jersey so I can't say if it was a replica or a game jersey ) from LSU as the ones I saw are real jerseys. He didnt just have one or two. Hes listed many. He had the plates made and attached. Apparently he didn't do enough research on them and missed. Sad part is, normal people probably didn't catch it and have a fake named jersey. He is doing the same thing as some members of this board do with buying multiple items to turn for a profit. He just takes it up a notch with adding the plate. What I find truly pathetic is how they squirm and deny their actions when questioned.

Well he is right in his listing. It is Authentic. right from the gift shop. Not game used which I do believe that is how he listed the others. he also said he added the name plate. That one is terrible btw. LSU compliance isnt worried about that. same guy has some PC Jerseys with Ware and Mathieu name plates and autos. same deal. Not defending the guy at all, Just looks as if he changed his stance on these Jerseys he was passing as used. LSU cant get into anything as long as the current players arent getting paid for the autos/sales. I agree that LSU could jump all over it but with all the LSU items being bough and turned on ebay, I dont see how this is any diferent. They dont seem to be to concerned with that.

By looking at the feedback left by the 2 buyers who dropped big $$$ on the "phony" uni's, they seem pleased as punch with their purchases. It's likely they will keep the "lie" alive and tout them as game used etc. Very similar to finding a baseball bat at a garbage sale that has a wear on it as well as a sig of a former player, calling it game used because of the wear and completely ignoring that the original seller claimed it was played with by children and has been sitting in the garage for years....... IF the buyer can convince himself it's legit, game used, then it becomes that .. BWAHAHAHA ... MEH, to each his own I guess, some folks integrity is easily swayed. Cheaters gonna cheat!

They probably cant tell and figure no one else can either. Im sure they are un aware. Its funny though how some things change. One day, Something will be ripped from one side to the other about a fake item but latter on, someone gets the same type item and they "Believe" its game used so therefore it is. Its a rough world I guess. lol

It's the same as some one making fake plastic reproduction pins and trying to pawn them off as vintage or getting a scoop of dirt from the old Alex Box and than trying to get the local trophy company to make an engraved plate like the ones sold in the Alex Box auction a couple years ago.

that is pretty screwed up. I didnt hear about that one. I may have caught the Jersey, but I know nothing about pins and if I saw one that I wanted, I would have been screwed because I know nothing about them. Thats what happened with those jerseys. The person who got them probably doesn't know enough about them to realise it. but what can you do?

Damn you run in circles with some scammy people. You and will must of had a damn club going, members and all. Did you all have dues???
I scooped up a cup of dirt and made my own ball holder display, got the holder from chuck and gold star made me a plate. never tried to sell one though, the fella selling tiny bottle of dirt did quite well though. I don;t see how the expense of making a fake pin would pay off any money to speak of but finding a bag full of buttons at oh lets say the shop on little john could prove to return handsome rewards.
